We tested a 401 CID LS2 engine and gained 152 HP and 223 lb-ft of torque using a small ~100 HP shot of nitrous through a Wet Volcano Insert, with gains even when the nitrous was off!  

The engine had 11:1 compression, mildly ported stock LS2 heads(ported by Volcano Manifolds), a Lunati hydraulic roller cam, comp cams roller rocker arms, and an Edelbrock Super Victor intake manifold.

EFI was controlled by a Holley Terminator X ECU, sequential injection with 48 lb/hr injectors, and a Holley 4150 style 1000 CFM Throttle Body.

The exhaust was Kooks long tube stainless headers with 1 7/8″ Primaries and 3″ collectors.  

The entire fuel and induction system can be purchased through Volcano Manifolds including the Intake Manifold w/Volcano System , and the entire EFI system, fuel system, and plumbing.

The graph below shows the literally two different engines that result when on and off the funny juice!  And as you’ll see below that chart, it picked up HP even off the bottle!  

 

This graph below shows the engine with just a Dormant Volcano plug and also with the Wet Volcano Insert installed, without nitrous activated.  As you can see with this particular combination and Super Victor Intake Manifold, it liked the Wet Volcano insert and picked up 4 lb-ft of torque at 4500 RPM, with gains across most of the RPM range even without nitrous!
